In 1982, Tulsi Bhimjyani first discovered the alluring charm of Alibaug. Despite the once-challenging
journey from Mumbai,
he became enchanted by Alibaug's natural beauty and vast potential; he would return again and again,
sketching outthe
weekend home where his family would form their most cherished memories, destined to grow together
beneath the sun.
He built all this while also laying the foundation for others to find their own piece of paradise in
Alibaug, and while Mr.
Bhimjyani is no longer with us, his legacy lives on. To this day, the Bhimjyani family continues to be
instrumental in helping
to shape the community’s future.
Mr. Bhimjyani's visions were brought to life with the architectural expertise of Nozer Wadia. Known
for unique designs that
harmonize with the environment, his skill in creating nature-integrated homes has made him a trusted
figure among
many. Over the years, Mr. Wadia would contribute to many successful developments in Alibaug, including
the villas of the
South Bank Estate. “We all forget that architecture is the only thing that survives over history," he
is quoted as saying.
"People die, thoughts die, literature lives on, art lives on, and architecture lives on.”
